- Charters of Rochester, ed. Alistair Campbell, Anglo-Saxon Charters 1 (London, 1973). An edition of 37 documents, ranging in date from the eighth century to the eleventh century (with one purported charter of Æthelberht, king of Kent, dated 604). Reviews: N. P. Brooks, English Historical Review 90 (1975), pp. 626-7; etc.
- Charters of Burton Abbey, ed. P. H. Sawyer, Anglo-Saxon Charters 2 (Oxford, 1979). Burton abbey, in Staffordshire, was founded by Wulfric Spot during the reign of King Æthelred the Unready (978-1016). The edition comprises 38 documents, of which 27 originated in the tenth century and 11 in the eleventh century.
- Charters of Sherborne, ed. M. A. O'Donovan, Anglo-Saxon Charters 3 (Oxford, 1988). An edition of 22 documents, ranging in date from the seventh century to the eleventh. 17 pertain to the church and bishopric of Sherborne, and 5 to Horton abbey, also in Dorset (founded by a Scandinavian thegn called Bovi during the reign of King Cnut).
- Charters of St Augustine's Abbey, Canterbury, and Minster-in-Thanet, ed. S. E. Kelly, Anglo-Saxon Charters 4 (Oxford, 1995). The edition comprises 39 documents pertaining to St Augustine's, ranging in date from the seventh century to the eleventh, with a further 14 documents pertaining to Minster-in-Thanet (of the seventh and eighth centuries).
- Charters of Shaftesbury Abbey, ed. S. E. Kelly, Anglo-Saxon Charters 5 (Oxford, 1996). Shaftesbury abbey, in Dorset, was founded by King Alfred the Great in the early 880s. The abbey prospered in the tenth century under the patronage of the West Saxon nobility, and became one of the wealthiest nunneries in the country. The edition comprises 30 documents, including 1 from the eighth century, 6 from the ninth century, 21 from the tenth century, and 2 from the eleventh century.
- Charters of Selsey, ed. S. E. Kelly, Anglo-Saxon Charters 6 (Oxford, 1998). An edition of the pre-Conquest charters of the bishopric of the South Saxons, at Selsey (later removed to Chichester). Many of them date from the eighth century, and cast light on the relationship between the Mercian overlord (King Offa) and one of the kingdoms which fell under his sway.
- Charters of Abingdon Abbey, Part 1 [Introduction, and Charters 1-50], ed. S. E. Kelly, Anglo-Saxon Charters 7 (Oxford, 2000); and
- Charters of Abingdon Abbey, Part 2 [Charters 51-151], ed. S. E. Kelly, Anglo-Saxon Charters 8 (Oxford, 2001). Abingdon is the first of the four 'major' archives to be completed, comprising about 150 documents, with an extensive introduction and detailed commentaries.
- Charters of the New Minster, Winchester, ed. Sean Miller, Anglo-Saxon Charters 9 (Oxford, 2001). Includes the will of King Alfred the Great, the will of King Eadred, and the New Minster 'Foundation' Charter of 966.
- Charters of St Paul's, London, ed. S. E. Kelly, Anglo-Saxon Charters 10 (Oxford, 2004). Covering the charters of the bishopric of London, extending from c. 700 to the Norman Conquest; comprising 31 documents, supplemented by a few other texts of related interest (including the St Paul's 'ship-list'). The edition includes some 'new' texts drawn from seventeenth-century transcripts of a lost twelfth-century charter-roll of St Paul's.
- Charters of Malmesbury Abbey, ed. S. E. Kelly, Anglo-Saxon Charters 11 (Oxford, 2005). Covering the charters of Malmesbury abbey, extending from c. 700 to King Edward's grant of privileges (1065); comprising 33 documents, with 14 detached boundary-clauses, etc.
- Charters of St Albans, ed. Julia Crick, Anglo-Saxon Charters 12 (Oxford, 2007). Covering the charters of St Albans, extending from its foundation in the late eighth century to the end of the Anglo-Saxon period, comprising 17 documents, including several 'new' texts from a seventeenth-century transcript of a twelfth-century cartulary, itself now lost.
